On valentines Kyle and I finally went to Crywolf a store that we first heard of at the exhibition this year in the craft tent. It's full of beautiful trinkets and well designed clothing. I would recommend making a trip there if you live in the area. This is their website; http://www.crywolfclothing.com.
I've recently re-organized my computer by changing icons and using sticky notes as reminders. It's a fun and simple way to personalize your computer and can be done for the most part on a Mac or a PC.
To start I found a photograph on tumblr that wasn't too flashy because I didn't want something that would look busy. This is my tumblr account if you're looking for any suggestions, happiness-disaster.tumblr.com and this is the exact picture http://happiness-disaster.tumblr.com/post/75030181341. An important thing to remember is to find a large picture otherwise it will be pixelated and blurry.
Next I used the sticky app; changing their colours to match my background photo. You can change the colour but, also the transparency which is key. I also changed the font to "brain flower" which I downloaded from http://dafont.com and used special characters under the edit bar.
The final thing I did was change all my icons. You can find tons of different ones from http://www.deviantart.com. All you have to do to change them is right click on the icon, hit get info, simply drag the icon from your downloaded file to the icon in the info folder.
Good Luck!
If it isn't clear already you can probably assume I'm in love with my boyfriends hair. He naturally has the hair of my dreams, short, straight and more importantly red. I've finally got my hair to the vibrance and orange I've dreamed of, seeing as my hair has always been a little dull. I took this picture of him last night after spending 12 hours straight working on homework, it's completely unfair how he can look so great after such a lazy day.
If you haven't noticed yet I have been in the midst of getting my hair done, which has led to a few posts with pictures of myself. I want to make it clear that I love taking photographs and making films but don't always have someone to take photos of, which often leaves me with one option. Taking photographs of myself. I have many plans for the content of my blog other then selfies don't worry. If any of my friends are reading this and are interested in having there photos taken please contact me because I'd love to have new models to practice on. Please don't be shy it would make me very happy.
I just got my hair done this evening and I'm very happy with it. My hairdresser is wonderful and I'm lucky to have found her. At first I'm sure it appears that I've cut it all off but I assure you I haven't. My cousin Bethany told me one time that she could hide all of her hair in a little bun and appear to have a bob when she wanted to. Ever since then I had been dreaming of having that ability with my hair. Today is finally the day and I love it.
I'm excited to share my new hair. I thought it would be fun to brighten it up a little and get some layers. I absolutely love the colour in this picture and only wish it was this orange in real life, it's actually pretty dark. No worries though I've got a great new hair dresser who's planning on brightening it up this week. As for now I'm gonna rock looking like an emo kid, maybe try some thicker eyeliner till Wednesday.
Today was such a wonderful day, I feel deeply accomplished. I woke Kyle up at 8:50 to head out skiing; I had one of my best days yet. I finally went down the steepest hills at the club. I'll be posting a short video of us skiing soon. We came home early today and after Kyle left for school I thought I'd take the time to show off some of my favourite things.
The first is my cosy sweater taken straight out of my Poppa's closet. I really miss him since he's moved away to Newfoundland but he should be visiting in the coming weeks. I'm glad he moved out there because he has lots of friends now but I do miss listening to his never-ending wisdom. I'm really glad he's proud of me, he reminds me a lot of my dad. Anyways this sweater he gave me always cheers me up because it reminds me of family, which is my most valued sentiments.
My final object is a beautiful fox ring that my boyfriend gave me for Christmas, I've been meaning to show it off. Kyle means the world to me so I love being able to have a piece of him with me. His spirit animal is without-a-doubt a fox which happens to be my favourite animal. A lot of people ask him if that's why it's my favourite. Foxes have always been up there but I think Kyle has definitely made me love them even more.
a little bit late but here are some shots from my christmas. it was a wonderful year with so much love from all my family.
